Water Flushing Starts Week Of May 2nd. 2022
On Monday, May 2nd, 2022 the Village of Newberry (VON) will begin water system flushing between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. It should take several weeks to complete, starting on the west side and working east. During the flushing residents can expect reduced water pressure, discoloration, and momentary interruption of water service. The VON advises residents to please refrain from doing laundry during these hours of flushing as the discoloration may stain clothing. If your water is discolored, run the cold water tap for 10 – 15 minutes and it should clear up. The water is safe for consumption. If you have any questions call the VON office at 293-5681.
